En este prefacio nos proponemos: exponer el fin y el objeto del libro referente a la mímica á que sirve de introducción, explicar el plan que hemos seguido y decir cuál puede ser su utilidad y a qué necesidades responde más particularmente. Estas son evidentemente, en la mayoria de los casos, las razones de ser de un prefacio; pero convencidos de que es esencial al comienzo de un estudio de terminar el fin de él, nos parece que no es inútil precisarlo.
