It is an old admonition, Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long in the land the Lord, thy God, giveth thee.
How better can we honor them than by preserving the records of their lives? If we do not do this much to preserve their history, how can we expect our own records to be kept?

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book traces the history of the Winship family in America, beginning with Edward Winship who arrived in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1635. The author meticulously details the family's lineage, offering a comprehensive genealogy of the descendants of Edward Winship, including dates of birth, death, marriage, and locations of residence. This work reflects the popular interest in genealogy and family history that emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a time when Americans were increasingly seeking to understand their roots and establish their place in a rapidly changing nation. The book explores themes of family, heritage, and the enduring legacy of early American settlers. Through the detailed records of births, deaths, and marriages, the author creates a vivid portrait of everyday life in colonial America and the subsequent westward expansion of the nation. The author's dedication to compiling a complete record of the Winship family speaks to the importance of preserving historical memory and understanding the continuity of family ties. This book is an invaluable resource for anyone with an interest in American genealogy, family history, and the lives of those who built this nation.
