You are aware, gentlemen, that in the course of the many speeches which, Mr Gladstone has {thought fit to deliver, he has found 1n his oopious vocabulary a very large number of somewhat abusive phrases. Out of one speech I took the trouble -to day to collect the following set of epithets applied to the existing Government They are accused of acting with Secrecy and cor ruption'i; they are accused of cupidity; their policy is declared to be mean, to be f' shabby, to be f'dastardly, to be disloyal, and beffisubversive.
