Method Of Study

The study of food may be made more impressive if the instructor will demonstrate the chief points in the lesson, applying the various tests those to show the presence of the various food stuffs as contained in the different food materials, for example - the test of protein in eggs, milks, meat and wheat; the test for sugar in milk and fruits; the test of starch in vegetables, potatoes, rice, cereals, bananas.

The effect of heat upon food stuffs is made more impressive if the tests are made before the pupil upon the materials being used at the time in the diet kitchen.
