The Good Spirit seeing how beautiful the earth was began to plan it for the home of man.

He thought of the beasts and birds which man would enjoy; and thinking of them, made them. He thought of beautiful trees, exquisite flowers, quiet rivers, and green grass, and at once all these things were upon the earth.

He hung the sun in the heavens that man might have light by day, and the moon to give him light by night, and to make the night more brilliant he placed the stars.

Lastly he made man and woman, and gave them this beautiful world for a home.

While the Good Spirit was busy about these kind things, the Evil Spirit was putting trials in man's way.
