Freston for poems by her son, Lieut. H. R. Freston ;to Lieut. Robert Nichols for his poem The Last Morning; to Messrs. Sidgwick and Jackson for leave to include lines from Rupert Brooke s Requiem; to Mr. Erskine Macdonald for his great kindness in so readily permitting me to quote from Sergeant Leslie Coulson s Outpost, Sergeant J. W. Streets The Undying Splendour Lieut. E. F. Wilkinson s Sunrise Dreams and the remarkable collection of Soldier Poets; to Messrs. Duckworth for excerpts from Poems and Parodies by Lieut. T. M. Kettle; to Mr. B. H. Blackwell for quotations from The Quest of Truth by Lieut. H. R. Freston; to Mr. John Murray for permission to quote from Lieut. Joseph Lee s Workaday Warriors; to Mr. Elkin Mathews for several poems from Private Alexander Robertson s Comrades; toM
