The following table shows the aggregate expenditures for all items under the supervision of this Office (including foreign mails) by fiscal years from 1888 to 1904, inclusive, the increase in amount, and the per cent of increase for each year over the preceding year: The aggregate of the appropriations for this office for the current fiscal year is $74,375,728.75, being $3,538,999, or 4.99 per cent, more than for the fiscal year 1904.
