Learning to Follow Jesus: Encountering Jesus in the Gospels is a devotional Bible study. It focuses on encounters with Jesus in the Gospels in the New Testament. You will see Jesus through the eyes of some of His first followers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These men were privileged to tell the greatest story ever told. Jesus said in John 12:45, "And whoever sees Me sees Him Who sent Me." To see Jesus is to see God. You can use this study to take a deep look at the life Jesus Christ, God incarnate, and see the love of the Father clearly revealed. Jesus’ Name is Emmanuel, God with us. In this study you see the powerful effect being with Jesus had on His early followers. You will find it is the same for us as well, as we spend time with Jesus in the pages of scripture. This study can be used as part of your own personal devotions or it can be used as a Bible study for a group. Either way, it is designed to help you linger in these powerful passages of scripture in order to bring you closer to the Lord.
