Reseña del editor:
MY LIFE WITH MR. BEELZEBUB, in addition to being a penetrating study of Gurdjieff's opus, is the story of one man's immersion into the tales of Beelzebub and how this gave a direction to his life and brought him into the Work. Mesa presents us first with his life lessons and leanings, and then demonstrates in penetrating detail, how he was able to apply all that he had learned from this book. In personalizing his study in this way, he reveals his growth of self as the result of plumbing the depths in Beelzebub's Tales, through which he came to understand himself in accordance with the objective truths and governing laws of our life on Earth. And this of course was Gurdjieff's intention: that the material of one's life becomes the food for the transubstantiation of one's Being. The book is written in a simple language, without pretentions of being an encyclopedic work. It reflects the experience of Mesa as shown in the chapter "An experiment extracted from Beelzebub's Tales." Mesa uses the factual language of engineering, as he is an engineer by trade, to convey his message. This book is highly recommended for those who want to use Beelzebub's Tales in their own search for the meaning of life on Earth.
