A native Tarheel and son of amateur musicians and writers, Tom Lewis was educated in the US and Europe. Before retiring to seriously write for publication, Tom spent 38 years as a symphony orchestra conductor in Europe as well as Charlotte NC, Roswell NM, Rochester MN, Tulsa OK, and Sioux City IA. In addition to his trilogy, PEA ISLAND GOLD, he has written five other novels, a collection of short stories, and one book of non-fiction. Tom currently resides in New Bern, NC.
