Reseña del editor:
This book gives you the text of the first Bible ever written, the very fountain head of your own religion. It was found buried between the pages of the Old Testament or Hebrew Bible, like the one you have at home. The Phoenicians had recently invented the alphabet. The first author of the Bible, believed by the author to be Tamar (the daughter of King David), decided to record in writing for the first time the beliefs of the Jewish people that had been orally transmitted from generation to generation. Jewish priests added voluminously to it, taking care not to delete anything from that sacred text, and so buried the first (TAMAR) Bible. This book tells how the first (TAMAR) Bible was excavated. Not a single word was added or changed, and the word order wasn't changed -- the first Bible was just lifted out of your Bible and is perfectly recognizable, fully coherent, very readable, and it is relatively short. It's a unique way to read Scripture and better understand your own religion, and enhance your faith. Must reading for Jews, Christians and Muslims alike.
Biografía del autor:
Walter Lamp earned a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the Yale Law School. He applies the same scrutiny to religious texts as he does to legal documents. A student of both the Bible (Old Testament and Hebrew Bible) and the Muslim Koran, he has written six books on Scripture. He lays out in plain and simple language what the Scripture literally says and only that. Not having a political or religious agenda, he shuns all so-called "interpretation" and speaks only to the plain words of the Scripture that is at the core of the religion. His books are unbiased guides, as a legal scholar would write. Lamp takes nothing for granted about a reader's religious knowledge or lack thereof. His books are easy to read in spite of their serious subject matter. Every term and quote is explained with clear citations to its place in the Scripture so that readers might check it out or read further in the Scripture they happen to have at home. His books are lighthearted in tone, like going on a romp through the Scripture, and you'll wind up being much more knowledgeable about your religion and your Scripture.
