Experimental Etudes - Tapa blanda

Drawing on many years of concert and recording experience as a performer of late Twentieth Century contemporary art music, - especially that of the experimental tradition - the author presents here 20 etudes dealing explicitly with the unique problems such music presents. Topics include graphic scores and other unconventional notation systems, aleatoric music and open-form, pattern-based minimalist structures, creating scores from instructions, instrument with tape (or CD), music with theatrical elements, and more. All etudes are playable on any standard instrument and are notated in various clefs for convenience. They are ideal for self-study, private or group lessons, and classroom instruction.
