A story of personal transformation. A story about having the courage to face our greatest fears, about having faith in ourselves that allows us to change into something far greater and mhore beautiful than anything we ever thought possible.
Tom McWhirter grew up in a small rural community in North Carolina. From as far baack as he can remember, he found solace in the "Great Outdoors." His imagination could take him places without any limitations, helping him realize there are no limitations in life but those we place on ourselves. As he grew older, his appreciation and respect for nature became an understanding of how all of creation is so important to humanity. Even now in his senior years, he appreciates the beauty and gifts of nature as much on the outside as he does on the inside of his heart. Tom's goal in writing this book is to share this experience with children and adults of All ages, showing a whimsical side of reality in which mere existence can grow into freedom by carrying ourselves with the "Wings of Life."
