THE REUNION By Leonard S. Grossman

THE REUNION is the story of a boy growing up in the north end of Hartford, Connecticut. It is a tale of a young man that endured the divorce of his parents, during a divorceless era of the 50's, the anti-Semitic taunts of the other kids in the government project where he lived, the loss of his first love, and, later, his own failed marriage.

It wasn't all adverse for Steven. There were good times growing up in Hartford. His days at Weaver High School, the most diverse of the high schools in the city, were filled with wonderful memories. There were activities, classes, friends, sports, family, and his beautiful city.

From the Publisher:
In this fictional presentation, the author explores a number of issues: bigotry, family, education, tolerance, divorce, adultery, as well as sexual orientation. He compares the moral values of the 50's to present day standards through his characters.
From the Author:
As most of us are, Steven Kramer was in search of a dream. His goal was not to become rich, famous or powerful, but simply to recapture the love of a woman.

THE REUNION is also the story of Elaine Goldman. She was beautiful, intelligent, and unlike Steven, she was affluent. Once she had been his high school girl friend, but somehow, he allowed her to slip away. Elaine, too, faced obstacles in her life.

Steven and Elaine's heartwarming narrative is one that will be remembered. They experienced pain, but chose not to suffer.

The Reunion has been featured as a recently published book in The Portland (ME) Sunday Telegram, April 28th, and in the May 5th edition of The Hartford Courant.
