Originally published in 1952, this book describes his early career as river keeper on the Officers Association sector of the Wiltshire Avon. It was on this water that Sawyer developed his nymph fishing tactics. This new edition contains an entirely new chapter of previously unpublished material by the author, as well as a new introduction by his son Tim and eight pages of new colour photographs.
