Paperback. Condición: Very Good. A bright, clean, tight copy sans tears, stains, markings, and discoloration. From the Foreword of Brookgreen Gardens' president, Joseph Veach Noble: "When asked about Brookgreen Gardens, I always say that it is the most beautiful sculpture garden in America. Archer Huntington, the Gardens' founder, described it as "A quiet joining of hands between science and art." Brookgreen Gardens was incorporated in 1931, a nonprofit institution under the laws of South Carolina, as "a society for southeastern flora and fauna," and the year 1981 is its fiftieth anniversary. A half century seems an appropriate period for summing up accomplishments, and it is through this book that we document Brookgreen's past and present." PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED in full-color and black-and-white photography (many full-page) of the sculptures at Brookgreen with accompanying descriptive captions. 128 pages. NOTE: Due to the oversize and weight of the book significant additional shipping cost will be requested/required for OUT-OF-U.S. shipment. LBCMD5. Nº de ref. del artículo: 012353
