The photographers included many illustrious members of the profession: from David Bailey, Pamela Hanson, Peter Lindbergh, Raymond Meier and Herb Ritts to Ellen von Unwerth and more. These names alone point to the wide-ranging spectrum of attitudes and vision in the resulting photographs. Some photographers chose to give their work a surreal air, others created rigorously formal pieces, while yet others concentrated on producing apparently spontaneous snapshots.
