David Shapiro's new volume of poetry, After a Lost Original, emerges as a radically experimental volume of intellectual, erotic, and philosophical intensity. David Shapiro has published art criticism and poetry in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and Artforum, in addition to his many books. He has received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and was nominated for a National Book Award. He lives in Riverdale, New York.
