This beautifully produced hardback brings together thirty-three of Neil Shawcross's portraits with an essay by visual arts critic Liam Kelly. The paintings range chronologically from Shawcross's first portrait, 'Solly Lipsitz' in 1968, to his 2005 portraits of historian Bruce Arnold and sculptor Bob Sloan. Among the sitters are well-known local figures from arts and culture scene including Seamus Heaney and the actor Stephen Rea as Oscar Wilde, as well as friends, acquaintances, and characters from every walk of life.
