Vince Corozine grew up in Peekskill, New York. He received his B.S. in music education from SUNY, Potsdam, N.Y. and his M.A. and Professional Diploma from Columbia University. He served as Director of Music for the Peekskill City Schools, taught at the King's College in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and is Director of Music Industry Studies at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Vince was a musician in the West Point Band and for ten years was an arranger for the West Point "Jazz Knights." From 1989-1999 he was music arranger and conductor of the annual Thanksgiving Parade in Philadelphia, PA, for WPVI-TV (ABC-Disney). He has studied composition with Arnold Franchetti (Hartt School of Music), Bernard Wagenaar (Julliard School of Music) and with Jimmy Giuffre in New York City. Additionally, in 1999 he conducted the Kunming Symphony Orchestra in Kunming, China, for the International Festival of the Arts. Vince conducts workshops in Musical Theater, Jazz Improvisation, Music Business and Music Arranging and is an accomplished saxophonist, clarinetist, arranger, conductor, composer, clinician, songwriter and producer. He is the owner of Norvin Music and writes movie scores, music for dance and the theater, and teaches courses in Music Business, composition and arranging. He has recorded in New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Hong Kong, and China, and is a member of ASCAP. He is also a member of NAMM, NAMBI, MEIEA, and IAJE. He was recently selected for Who's Who Among America's Teachers 2000, and is presently working on a new musical about the Wright brothers, A Dream Of Wings. He and his wife, Norma, are the parents of three adult children, Stephen, Regina and Matthew.Reseña del editor:
