Typed signed letter (with a coloured photograph enclosed) written on headed notepaper from Fleur Cage at Janus Publishing Company Limited, Edinburgh House, 19 Nassau Street, London W1N 7RE to June Benn, St. AndrewÕs House, 113 Mycenae Road, Blackheath, London, SE3 7RX dated 9th April 1999 and consisting of about 40 words in which she sends back the coloured photograph returned from Isis of a young June Barraclough which was used for the front cover of this edition loosely inserted. Envelope with rough handwritten notes in BarracloughÕs hand and with black and white photograph inside of a family group loosely inserted. Typed signed letter from John Charlton loosely inserted. He was living in Australia at the time of writing dated 1st June 2003, two pages in length. He was at school with June Barraclough and had recently read her book which evoked memories of those days. He also tells her about his successful career in broadcasting. Handwritten signed letter in the original envelope from Lynne Eker loosely inserted postmarked 20.2.03 and sent from Guernsey via Isis who forwarded it to June Barraclough enclosing a photocopy which she appears to think resembles the authorÕs photograph. Handwritten note from Southminster Library with new ticket and informing her they donÕt have an L.P. copy of this book. A collection of semi-autobiographical vignettes that recount a childhood in the West Riding of Yorkshire during the 1930s and 1940s. June Barraclough (1930-2006) was born and brought up at Brighouse, Yorkshire. She went to Somerville College, Oxford graduating with honours in Modern Languages in 1952.
