This text is part of a series telling young children about life in other countries. With each book covering a particular country, the material describes what it looks like, its mountains, rivers, coastline and weather; and explains the life and habits of the people who live there. Each book contains a reference section which includes famous landmarks, facts and figures about the country concerned, and an index and map. The headings and illustrations are laid out with the aim of helping less experienced readers to grasp the material confidently and to gain skill in searching out information.
