Biografía del autor:
Winner of the International Fantasy Award and also of the Grand Master Award (for lifetime achievement) of the Science Fiction Writers of America, L. Sprague de Camp was a major figure during what has come to be known as the "golden age" of science fiction with his stories in Astounding, the leading magazine of the time. He was an equally notable contributor to the legendary fantasy magazine Unknown, which revolutionized the writing of fantasy, and was renowned for his non-fiction books and his historical novels. De Camp also was responsible for reviving interest in the stories and novels of Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard, and wrote many top-selling Conan novels himself. He was noted for the strong current of humor that underlay his adventure yarns, and Robert A. Heinlein called his stories "Consistently humorous . . . he fills his stage with such authentic detail that empathy is built and never broken." Isaac Asimov termed de Camp "the epitome of science fiction in all possible ways."
