The Copper Scroll Decoded: One man’s search for the fabulous treasure of ancient Egypt - Tapa dura

At last a lone metallurgist has successfully decoded the mysterious Copper Scroll that has baffled scholars since its discovery in 1952.

In his extraordinary research of the Copper Scroll, Robert Feather has made two amazing but interlinked discoveries:

· The location of the the treasure that is referred to in the Scroll. The silver, gold and jewellery that is already in museums and the exact sites at which the remaining items lie buried. This news will cause great excitement amongst archaeologists throughout the world. In 1959 & 1960 John Allegro of Manchester University had led unsuccessul trips to find the treasure. His translation of the Scroll had been based on some misconceptions that Robert Feather has now been able to identify.

· The accumulation of significant new research to back the old but neglected theory that the origins of the world’s three great monotheistic religions can all be traced to Ancient Egypt and in particular to the Pharoah Akhenaten. The book will show why it makes such sense that Moses was in fact an Egyptian and answer many other historical anomalies & puzzles.

The Copper Scroll is the most enigmatic of all the Dead Sea Scrolls. Uniquely the information contained in it is stored on a metal scroll rather than on parchment. Why? Could it be because this particular scroll refers to many treasures of gold, silver and other precious metals that have been buried in the Desert?

Various translators understood the weights and measures in the Scroll to be ancient Hebrew measurements. Using these measurements, two archaeological teams have gone in search of this treasure, and both have returned empty handed.

When Robert Feather, a matllurgist fascinated by ancient Jewish history, read about the Copper Scroll he had a strong hunch that the reason the experts were strugglingto decipher it was because they had failed to understand its true origins. Using his professional skills as a metallurgist, he set about looking at the quality of the metal in the context of copper mining and working in biblical times.

Robert Feather has now solved the enigma of the Copper Scroll and reveals in this book exactly where the treasure is, and how the ascetic Jewish sect known as the Qumran Essenes came to be its guardians. The deciphering of the Scroll led Feather on a quest through ancient Jewish and Egyptian history. His discoveries will radically alter the way we view the Bible and, indeed, challenge us to look at our history in a very different light.
