Reseña del editor:
From relationship we derive all that we know - love, life, birth, death, pain, healing, and, for those of us who learn how to make ours bear fruit, joy and transcendence. For when we discover the relationship, we understand ourselves - in its reflected light. Each understanding feeds the other, resulting in a rich new path in life for both partners. Stephen and Ondrea Levine came together to explore pain and share healing in relationship. Now, eighteen years later, they share insights with us in what is essentially a very practical as well as inspiring book. 'Embracing the Beloved' is culmination of their lifework, and their greatest challenge. The Levine's counsel that to succeed, we must cease contemplating 'the other person', and focus instead on the third party, the relationship itself - a sum greater than its separate parts. They demonstrate in this ground-breaking book how to use a relationship as a means for profound inner growth and healing. 'If you aspire to transform an intimate relationshiip into a tender inner journey toward spiritual realisation, 'Embracing the Beloved' is the most subtly articulated, how-to book available.' Ram Dass 'Stephen and Ondrea's work is among the deepest, most healing and heartfelt contributions to modern spiritual life. What they offer in 'Embracing the Beloved' is filled with blessings.' Jack Cornfield, author of 'A Path with Heart' 'Stephen's work with the grieving and dying is amongst the most skilful and compassionate that I am aware of.'
