Descripción Paperback. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. 1st Edition. This is an extremely rare book. It details the life of Arnold Schoenberg - the last great composer of the romantic tradition and the greatest musical revolutionary of the twentieth century. Like Beethoven, a century earlier, the composer bridges two music eras. His abandonment of the rules of harmony in the early years of the century in favour of atonalism, and his subsequent invention of the twelve-note system after 1918, were ecisive moments in the development of modern music and every important composer since 1910 has to some extent been influenced by his music and teaching. This 1977 first edition is sold in FINE condition between FINE illustrated card covers. Nº de ref. del artículo: 004452
