Harri Webb (Writers of Wales) - Tapa blanda

An introduction to the life and work of Harri Webb (born 1920), a purveyor of life, laughter, optimism and indefatigable energy in a period of Welsh history characterized by the exact opposites of those qualities. As journalist, newspaper editor, pamphleteer, poet, essayist, scriptwriter for radio and television, media "personality" and social and cultural historian, he has focused his attention on the glories, the particularities and the plight of the Welsh nation. The "Writers of Wales" series exists to celebrate Welsh writers from many centuries and a variety of backgrounds who have written extensively, but not exclusively, about their country.

Brian Morris is Opposition Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Lords, and Chairman of the Prince of Wales's Institute of Architecture. He has published three volumes of poetry, Tide Race (1976), Stones in the Brook (1978) and Dear Tokens (1987).
