Reading and Writing from Literature - Tapa blanda

This is one college text book I will not be selling back., Reading and Writing from Literature was the text we used in my Freshman writing class. It was an excellent book that encourages personal writing of all types and how you can draw your own original writing from literature. In addition, the reading selections were very good as well. I liked it so much I bought my mom a copy for her to use for her Senior AP English class.

A thematic anthology of short stories, poetry, plays and essays with extensive rhetorical instruction. Emphasis is placed on intertextuality - the way that texts, including the student's own writing, grow out of other texts. This approach highlights the connection between reading and writing and encourages students to enter into a conversation with literature.
