Deshannee? Johnice is an accomplished human resources executive and entrepreneur who has spent over a decade counseling, advising and supporting working professionals in organizations that are consistently recognized as Fortune 100 and Fortune Best Companies To Work For. In addition to her work, Ms. Johnice volunteers her time to help at-risk high school students apply and get accepted to college. Through her work with adult workers and with high school students, Ms. Johnice discovered that working adults who had earned a college degree, and high school students who believed they would attend college, were more satisfied with their lives, their career and life options, and their prospects for future success. Because of this Ms. Johnice set out to create a factual, easy-to-use, instructional guide that would help high school students with less-than-perfect grades and test scores get accepted to college, and ultimately, lead more successful lives.Ms. Johnice is a graduate of Boston University. She now resides in Berkeley, CA.
