The Michigan Guide to the ECCE, Volume 1: Developing High-Intermediate Competence in English: v. 1 - Tapa blanda

This textbook was developed by staff at the University of Michigan English Language Institute in response to the demand for test-preparation material for the Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE). "The Michigan Guide to the ECCE" will give students practice in developing the reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening, and speaking skills they need to do well on the ECCE. The book also will help students become more familiar with the content, level, and format of items on the test. The textbook is organized around high-interest themes: money, happiness, family and relationships, healthy eating, and stress and fitness. These themes tie together the skill activities contained in the guide. Exercises are designed for both small group and full-class interaction. "The Michigan Guide to the ECCE, Volume 1", includes two mini-tests (shorter versions that allow practice during classroom hours) and a full-length practice test. These tests follow the format of the test fairly closely. All the necessary audio material is included on the accompanying audio CD.
