The International Bible Society (IBS) commissioned both the NIV and TNIV. Its mission is to faithfully translate, publish and reach out with God's Word to people around the world. The Committee on Bible Translation (CBT) produced both the NIV and TNIV. It is an independent body of the most renowned English-speaking biblical linguists and scholars in the world. A portion of the purchase price of these NIV Bibles will be provided to International Bible Society to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
