Descripción Hardback. Condición: Mint. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. Revised & Reset Edition. The King's England is a topographical and historical book series written and edited by Arthur Mee in 42 volumes. It was said that the series was a modern Domesday Book and that the compilers had travelled half-a-million miles in order to complete their task. The first, introductory, volume was published in 1936. In 1989, The King's England Press was established to reprint the series. Each of the books is an alphabetical gazetteer of a county and each volume has a map with its own grid reference to make easy location of the towns villages This volume was completely revised and reset in 1974 and uniformly bound in blue cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. This copy is in mint, unmarked condition, bright, white, tight and square. The price clipped dust wrapper is in fine condition and features a brass rubbing of a knight in armour (Sir William Fitzralph c. 1323) and comes from the church of St John the Baptist, Pebmarsh in Essex. This is just of many volumes I am selling from this series on this site. Ref WW2. Nº de ref. del artículo: 017190
