From the perpendicular thrills of the Scottish Highlands to the improbable, anti-gravitational conjuring tricks of the Norfolk Broads, Britain holds some of the most varied landscapes in the world. Maps pinpoint the sites, and instructions are given on how to reach them. Each of the panoramas is annotated to enable the viewer to read the landscape they are looking at (whether from an armchair or in the open air), and Richard Girling's text tells the story of how each landscape came to be.
