The Lost Daughters is the story of Cathy Oldham and Rosalind Blair who meet as children in post-war London. Cathy's beloved father dies and leaves her in the care of her godfather, Gerald Cavelle the glamorous concert pianist whom she later marries. Yet still the security she craves eludes her. Ros, too has troubles. Her hard-won career in hotel management is threatened by her mother's domineering ways. An unexpected reunion with eachother gives them both the impetus to break free and they enter the hazardous world of business together - and start to become independent women.
Jeanne Whitmee began her career as an actress. After her marriage and a period as a speech and drama teacher, she achieved a lifelong ambition to become a professional writer. To date she has published more than thirty novels under various pseudonyms. She has two married daughters and four grandchildren and lives with her husband in Cambridgeshire.
