Plain white endpapers. 418 numbered pp, [419] bibliography, [420] blank. Acknowl, editor's intro, 21 stories in two section, plus a section of illus; from Stephen Crane's "Manacled" (which appeared in 1900) through Ray Bradbury's "Sea Shell" (1944). Along the way, contributions from a score of others: Robert Bloch, Jack London, Upton Sinclair, Sinclair Lewis, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Dashiell Hammett, et al. Condition notes: this is an ex-library copy; as such is has numerous library stamp; rear free endpaper has had a pocket removed from it, roiling the smooth face of the paper; small closed tear to head of ffep. Boards show spine ends rolled and corners bumped; textblock edges lightly soiled; spine slightly cocked. DJ is unclipped, sheathed in mylar. Interior generally tanned but clean/unmarked.
