For the evil must be removed - life's moral atmosphere must be cleansed. The souls of nations which suffer from ailments inflicted on them by the force of things, and for which they are not responsible because acquired by inheritance, must be healed. If this be a harsh and unpleasant analysis, we should become all the more determined to eradicate the evil, in order to free ourselves of the poisonous inheritance of ages, so that we may be able to freely proceed along the bright and sunny highways of life. Let us unite our efforts and fill our hearts with brotherly love! Let us refrain from pursu ing policies which sanction injustice, permitevil and lower man's moral standard. Let truth and righteousness, brotherhood and good will enlighten the way of the various nations.
