De ce point de vue s'évanouit la foule des rimeurs qui ne peuvent prétendre à un portrait en pied, ni même à un médaillon, dans notre galerie. Restent les poètes, et leur nombre dé passe les étroites bornes d'un volume. Parmi ceux que nous regrettons d'avoir forcément omis, nous devons citer: Victor Gelu, Benedit, Fortune Chailan dans le groupe marseillais; Bergeret à Bordeaux, Rancher à Nice, Navarrot en Béarn, Damase - Arbaud dans la haute Provence, les frères Rigaud à Montpellier, le chansonnier inédit Roch Bourguet à Béziers. On voudra donc bien considérer notre galerie comme fermée d'une simple cloison provisoire. Elle pourra s'agrandir et se prolonger plus tard, suivant l'accueil du public ou nos propres convenances.
