This multimedia experience guides students through the fascination of human growth and development where they will encounter videos, animations, and audio clips and interactive pedagogy and quizzes. Development: Journey through Childhood and Adolescence is comprised of 12 units and is a fun, educational, multimedia teaching tool that literally brings human development to life. Through the use of unscripted, documentary-style video footage, students will get a chance to see everything from a baby taking its first breath to the challenges of adolescence. The numerous animations included on this cd teach students visually about the inner workings of the human body, including the reproductive organs, conception, hormonal changes throughout the lifespan, and disease. To test their knowledge, the author includes several tools to help students absorb what they have learned: multiple choice interactive quizzes, drag and drop quizzes, and drag and drop activities. It is a complete, independent package that compliments any Lifespan Development textbook.

Dr. Kelly Welch is a professor in the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University, where she teaches a large, introductory Human Growth and Development course. Dr. Welch has received numerous university teaching awards, including the Presidential Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching, that recognize her enthusiastic, innovative classroom techniques and pedagogy.
