Book 2 contains five units focusing on writing to express, writing to inform, writing to entertain, writing to explain, and writing to persuade. Exemplar texts with activities teach the language knowledge and skills necessary to write a final text of the same genre. It is a structured five-book course (Foundation Book and Books 1-4) for 6-11 year olds, Y2/P3 to Y6/P7. It presents a wide range of texts for children to study as models for their own writing at text, sentence, and word level.
