Descripción Original Wraps. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Jacket, as Issued. Ian Hugo Ilustrador. First UK Paperback Edition. A sixth printing of the first UK paperback edition, published in 1986 in the Penguin Modern Classics series. Illustrated with engravings by Ian Hugo. The first UK paperback was published in 1978, with the book originally published in hardback in the UK by Peter Owen in 1968. ***Very good in illustrated card covers. The covers are quite clean with just some light marks and creasing, and some small indentations on the covers. Priced by the publisher at £2.95 on the back cover. Edges just lightly rubbed, but no bumps or tears. Corners sharp. Page block edges tanned with some light foxing to the fore-edge. No reading creases to the spine and no reading lean. Spine tight. Internally also very good with no inscriptions. Pages clean but lightly tanned. No foxing. No creases or tears. ***107 pages. 198mm x 128mm. ***'"Half short stories, half dreams, and they mix a sometimes exquisite poetry with a homely realistic observation" - Edmund Wilson. From being a cult figure in the early feminist movement, Anaïs Nin later rose to international prominence with her writing. Characterized by the use of powerful - and at times disquieting - imagery, her work reveals great sensitivity and perception. These thirteen short stories are no exception, and with a "touch as light as a cobweb and colouring made of mirages" she penetrates the emotional depths of the individual in a world where illusion is the key to reality.' (Quotes taken from the back cover) ***A sixth printing of the first UK paperback edition, published in 1986 in the Penguin Modern Classics series, in very good condition. A nice illustrated reading copy. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc. Nº de ref. del artículo: PB602
