Mario Herrera has a degree in education and an MA in EFL. He has taught English for more than 25 years at all levels, from young children to adults. He is the co-author of seven ESL/EFL series that are used in levels ranging from preprimary to junior high. He co-authored "Balloons," His latest series is "Backpack," a seven-level primary EFL series. As an international consultant and teacher trainer, Mr. Herrera travels on behalf of Pearson Education, directing seminars and performing in-service training sessions throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Barbara Hojel has an MA in education from Johns Hopkins University and 34 years' experience teaching very young children and training teachers. As an educational consultant, she has led workshops and seminars throughout Mexico and Central and South America. She has also trained teachers in Japan and the United States. She has authored and co-authored material for very young learners --- the "My English Book" series, "Balloons," "Buttons," and "Star!"; and has written material for teachers --- "EFL/ESL Class Starters," "Poems and Fingerplays," and "English for Me! Storybooks," Ms. Hojel develops educational materials and gives seminars, workshops, and conferences for teachers.
Diane Pinkley is former Director of the TC TESOL Certificate Program in the TESOL Program, Department of Arts and Humanities, at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. She is a well-known teacher trainer and author in ESL/EFL, and has traveled around the world presenting academic papers and leading teacher training workshops. She has authored bestselling series for both children and adults, as well. Formerly the Director of the Institute of North American Studies in Badalona, Spain, and Curriculum Coordinator at the Michigan Language Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she has taught all levels of ESL and EFL.
