About the Author CHARLES C. MANZ, Ph.D., is Nirenberg Professor of Business Leadership, Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A leading author, speaker, and consultant, he has been working for many years to enhance the effectiveness of individuals in their lives and work. He has authored or co-authored several books and articles on self-leadership, leadership, work teams and employee empowerment, including Emotional Discipline: The Power to Choose How You Feel; The New SuperLeadership (with H.P. Sims, Jr.); The Power of Failure; The Wisdom of Solomon at Work (with K.P. Manz, R.D. Marx, and C. Neck), and Fit to Lead (with Tedd Mitchell and Chris Neck).
