Award-winning author, journalist/photographer and playwright, Gertrude Samuels worked at the New York Post, Newsweek and Time Magazines before joining The New York Times, where she worked as the only Times Magazine staff writer/photographer for more than 25 years. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from New York University.
