About the Authors Wayne Curtis is a freelance writer whose articles have appeared in the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, and Outside and on the Discovery Channel Online. He's also the author of Frommer's Northern New England; Frommer's Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island; and Maine: Off the Beaten Path (Globe Pequot). For the past decade he's lived in coastal Maine but can be found in the warm months exploring from Vermont to Newfoundland, fingers crossed, in an aging Volkswagen camper. Herbert Bailey Livesey has written about travel and food for many magazines, including Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, and Playboy. He is a coauthor of Frommer's Europe from $50 a Day and Frommer's New England and the author of Frommer's Montréal & Québec City and Frommer's Walking Tours: Spain's Favorite Cities. Bill McRae was born and raised in rural Montana, though he spent the better years of his youth attending university in Great Britain and France. His previous books include The Montana Handbook, published by Moon Publications, and The Pacific Northwest, published by Lonely Planet. He makes his home in Portland, Oregon. One month after their first visit to British Columbia, Jared M. Brown (a former hotel manager and chef) and Anistatia R. Miller sold their Manhattan apartment and moved to Vancouver. Authors of Shaken Not Stirred: A Celebration of the Martini (HarperPerennial) and Frommer's Vancouver & Victoria, they've written about food and drink for Icon, Wine Spectator, Wine & Dine, and Au Juice. Formerly the editorial director of Macmillan Travel, Marilyn Wood is an acclaimed travel writer and editor. Once a resident of Toronto, she has covered the city and all of central Canada for years and is author of Frommer's Toronto. She has also written Frommer's London from $60 a Day, Frommer's Wonderful Weekends from New York, Frommer's Wonderful Weekends from San Francisco, and Frommer's Wonderful Weekends from Boston.
