Titles: "H. M. S. Ulysses","Guns of Navarone", "South by Java Head", "The Secret Ways" and "Night Without End". Fawcett paperback books; copyrighted in 1955, 1957, 1958, 1959 & 1960; New York; soft cover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: None--these are paperback copies. All have extensive printing histories. 7" x 4-1/4"; 320, 288, 288, 256 & 224 numbered pages. Books have been read but are still in quite decent condition: in all cases, they are square, corners free of bumps, no dings on edges, head and heel of spine undamaged; spine not damaged or cracked; the exteriors are quite clean; front cover of Secret Ways has a 1/2" tear and a 1-1/2" fold at the upper fore edge corner. The interiors of the 5 books are fine: except for only owner's name, date and city inked on an early page, they clean and free of stains; however, each has a very limited amount of writing names underlined and short marginal notes, none of which are distracting; no page corners folded or damaged; pages are tight and clean with no stains or marks of any sort; no discoloration; hinges are tight and undamaged; no distortion of the books from reading or improper shelving. Condition of these books consistent with being gently read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on books such as stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance.
