New York, 1943. 8vo, 193 pp., cloth with jacket. First printing, stated. A bright, near fine copy, with slightest lean to spine and a hint of normal tanning to pages. Possibly unread. Jacket is near fine, with some light wear to extremities and a tiny closed tear to top of front panel. Bright and attractive overall. "British, dry and very local tale of two murders which occurred in 1917, and which are investigated in the present by Littlejohn of the Yard, after a corpse is accidentally turned up. The murders -- those of two poachers -- left little remaining human or material evidence, but Littlejohn patiently pursues what there is and closes the case once and for all. Pretty special." - Kirkus. A very nice copy. N° de ref. de la librería 14964
