History of France (editio princeps : 1520 ?, 1st ed. by Vascosani : 1539) by Paolo Emili of Verona, from the beginning of the monarchy, written on demand of the French king Louis XII for which in return he received a position as canon in the cathedral of Paris. His unfinished work was later continued by Arnould le Ferron with "De rebus gestis Gallorum libri IX" (not included in this edition). Entirely restored with recovered boards and parts of the spine, 1st endleaf renewed, new joints, new parts of the spine and corners., binding slightly soiled and damaged, handwritten notes on verso of last leaf and endleaves).
