Wei Jiangfan, the first person drawing horses in the contemporary Chinese painting area, is good at painting horses and figures. His works include Delivery, Shi Chuanxiang ( Series ), Running Horses, The Beginning of the Journey, An Empty, Yerba which were published in People's Daily, Bright Daily, Chinese Painting, Art, Hongkong Ta Kung Pao, The Times of Philippine and other newspapers. The publication of his works were Wei Jiangfan Painting Horse and Wei Jiangfan Paintings. In 1993, the central news film studio made the documentary Wei Jiangfan Painting Horse. In April, 2002 , China Education TV station made the television film Love Your Paintings Like a Dragon Flying. In May,2000, he won the Fifty anniversary medal of old artist issued by Beijing City Hall.
