EMAS – a tool supporting eco-innovations - Tapa blanda

The development of entrepreneurships in the 21st century cannot occur without taking care of the natural environment. Having undertaken ecological activities, the entrepreneurs benefit at the economic, ecological and social levels. Therefore, the implementation and popularization of eco-management in companies is so important. EMAS had been launched by the European Parliament and Council (EC). It is a system of environment management directed at various organizations, e.g. financial institutions, schools, service providers, production entrepreneurships etc., which voluntarily would like to exceed the minimal scope of law provisioned directives, constantly limiting the negative influence of their activity on the environment. The book contains the problems connected with the introduction of EMAS in the enterprises. It analyzes the benefits from EMAS Implementation, problems with the environment management schemes' implementation.It also presents examples of EMAS implementation in various companies. The book is designed for a wide range of readers: teachers, students, businessmen and wide environmental management system on the level of central and local government.

Agnieszka Ociepa-Kubicka, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Management in Czestochowa University of Technology. She is a graduate of doctoral studies in the field of engineering and environmental protection. She is the author of numerous publications in the field of environmental protection, sustainable development and management.
