Current stereotypical portrayals of black men in the media would have the world believe that if we are not athletes, celebrities, or gangsters, we are nothing.Why is the percentage of good black men thought to be so small, even by those of us who know that there are still many honorable black men out there? It is because there are a large percentage of us who have failed our families! We must recommit ourselves to assuming the rightful roles in our families and communities. We must give our women back their femininity and allow them to provide the maternal nurturing needed by our children so that they can, effectively, become law-abiding, productive citizens of our world.
